HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276n Laser Printer Review

Designed for SOHO users - The HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276n

Capable of copying, scanning and faxing, the multifunction HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276n is designed for SOHO (Small Office Home Office) users. With a duty cycle of 30,000 pages per month, the HP LaserJet M276n laser printer can deliver prints with a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dpi for both monochrome and coloured. With a colour touchscreen display, the HP M276n colour laser printer also comes with a convenient ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) for unattended printing. With only manual Duplexing, the HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color multifunction printer has no wireless capabilities.



The HP LaserJet Pro M276n comes with a flatbed scanner and a 3.5 inch colour touchscreen display mounted on a column on the right hand side of the machine. Below the scanner is the output tray and at the base of the M276n are the paper cassettes which hold up to 150 sheets. There are USB and Ethernet ports and a Host USB for connectivity. The HPLaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276n printer measures 449 x 476 x 414 mm and weighs 23.6 kg.

Toner cartridges for the M276n are available in high capacity and standard capacity versions. Managing your office printing costs is made even easier as the cartridges come in separate colours unlike some inkjet colour printers where the cyan, magenta and yellow printer inkcartridges are included in a single cartridge.

Summary

Sharing amongst workgroups is no problem as the LaserJet MFP M276n has built-in Ethernet and it is compatible with most operating systems. The Hewlett Packard M276n LaserJet printer produces good quality scans, copies, faxes, and prints and this is made easier with its ADF and easy to use touchscreen display. With the USB host, users can print from and scan to thumb drives.

Major printer manufacturers form ‘Mopria’ mobile printing alliance

As the Smartphone and Tablet industry continues to expand and the computing industry has  now   gone beyond the desktop PC, the technology to print from handheld devices has fallen behind. But, a new alliance of printer manufacturers, including Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Samsung, and Xerox, called Mopria, hopes to change all that. The Alliance announced the formation of Mopria on September 24. It believes it will make printing from devices much easier with newly developed interfaces that give mobile operating systems more simplified printing software and allow apps to draw on that ability. The Mopria technology will also govern printer technology so print jobs can sent by Wi-Fi Direct wireless networking or by tapping a printer with a phone that supports near-field communications (NFC).
