It's Valentine’s Day, so today’s colour has to be red, more specifically The Red Rose……

A symbol of love and passion the Red Rose is commonly associated with Valentine’s Day. A red rose is a classic symbol of romantic love and desire.

The origins of red roses we see today were first discovered in the 1800’s in China. However, much older varieties existed long before then. Fossil’s dating back 35 million years have revealed that roses may have existed then!

Synonymous with romance and passion, the best known symbol of romantic love, the red rose is often called ‘The Lovers Rose’
