The Holi
Festival is a religious spring festival celebrated by Hindus, as a festival of
colours.
One
of most exuberant of festivals, the Festival of Colour celebrates the end of
winter by throwing coloured water and powder at each other. Celebrated with the
most fervour in northern India the Holi festival can get quite mad with gulal being
thrown at anyone passing by. The result: these amazing colourful scenes of
people covered in bright shades of pink, magenta, red, yellow and green.
